So, I was scared of that look I was going to get, and possible punishment of some sort. In order to soften the blow, I came up with a
The plan was that I would tell my dad that I was pregnant (I wasn't, and had no danger of being so), and then just as he recovered from that news, I would say, "Just kidding, dad! I got into a car accident. But it could be worse! I could be pregnant! Please don't be upset?"
Oh, wow. What a child I must have been to raise...
So, fast forward to yesterday.
As you know from my last post, I have a boyfriend. He is a lot of things including, but not limited to, funny, caring, quirky, compassionate, and adorable. What I didn't expect is that he would have the same twisted sense of humor that I do.

Me: Hey, babe. If you need any hints for Christmas, I'm out of this lotion from Bath and Body Works. I'm easy to buy for :)
Jeff: (With a smile) Oh, I already know what I'm getting for you...
Me: Really? What's that?

Jeff: An engagement ring.
Me: ::Chokes::

What?!?!
Who does that?
Oh, wait.
Me.

P.S. After my father recovered from the shock of the possible knocked-up daughter, he looked me in the eye and said, "Don't you ever do that to me again." I didn't. :)
Lindsey, I do the same thing to everyone! Isn't it fun just for the shock value of it?

ReplyDeleteI think I just wasn't expecting that my loving, nurturing boyfriend would be the same. Haha!
This is going to be a fun relationship :)
